Semi final:  Dean Winstanley 1-6 Phil Taylor

What a fantastic day – with a run all the way to the semi-finals, only to be beaten by a magnificent Phil Taylor, who was looking to do a double over the weekend!  Taylor left 81 after 9 darts four times in their game, but Dean did have darts at doubles to take several of the legs he lost, so it could have gone another way.   Still – the £2,000 for a semi-final place will help the move up the world rankings!   The money earned sees Dean already 12th in the Player Champs order of merit, showing how well he’s started in the PDC!

No shame in a loss to the Guvnor, who went on to do the double over the weekend.  Some 11 x 180’s hit in the first two games for Kellett, who is starting to show his true form on the tour.  £400 towards UK Open qualification.
